A comprehensive bathroom renovation featuring an outdoor clawfoot bath set among a tropical garden.
My dream bathroom was just that - in my dreams for seven years. I daydreamed, drew and dreamt about exactly how it would look, starting with the centrepiece - my clawfoot bathtub, nestled amongst tropical foliage in an outdoor garden, with large pots, pavers, river pebbles, lights and garden screens from Bunnings.
I managed the project and outsourced to tradies for carpentry, electrical, tiling, etc. I began by removing the bath, window and partial wall to allow access to the garden. It’s now a dreamy "zen den" enjoyed by all the family.
Materials used in the project (from Bunnings):
Tools used in the project:
Removed old bath tub, sliding window and partially removed wall to allow doorway access to garden.
Removed the old tiles and re-sheeted the walls. Updated the plumbing and fitted new tapware. Installed the outdoor plumbing for the clawfoot bath.
Tiled and waterproofed the floor and walls. Built the new shower recess and fitted the glass shower panel.
Updated the lighting and sockets. Then painted the interior walls, ceiling and exterior walls. Fitted the new window and the door to the garden.

Evening @Wendy56
That looks great! What a difference you have created!
A couple of questions of course How long did the project take? And what was the most terrifying part of it verse the best part?
