This backyard transformation included screening an air conditioner unit and building a bench seat that doubles as a dog kennel.
The project
Over time, we've made this backyard more practical and enjoyable. We created a screening panel using Pine fence palings to cover the air conditioner unit.
We also built a vertical panel to cover an old fence on the other side. Pine fence palings are really handy because we could easily cut them to size and, after a good sand, they were ready to be stained or painted to suit the area.
We created a bench seat with a built-in dog bed on one side and storage on the other using Merbau decking.
