Typically in bathrooms, you would waterproof floors, shower enclosures, around your bath and the toilet area. If your laundry walls are plasterboard then they can be painted with a suitable bathroom paint which includes a mould preventative.
Here is a helpful step-by-step D.I.Y. videos on How to waterproof your bathroom floor. Typically, walls are not waterproofed, however you can continue the floor membrane up the wall if you wish to do so. - MitchellMc
I need to waterproof our bathroom in a cabin, we used James hardie secure interior flooring and I am putting in a hybrid floor over that, but what product or how should I waterproof the floor?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @NellB. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about installing Secura interior flooring.
You'll find the full installation guide for the Secura flooring on the James Hardie site. It shows how the boards are prepped ready to be waterproofed over. Provided you've followed the installation steps, a standard waterproofer, such as the Crommelin 4L One Coat Rapid Under-Tile Waterproofing Membrane can be used. It would be best to check local regulations as in some area a professional is required for applying the membrane. This step-by-step guide shows how to do so: How to waterproof your bathroom floor.
Depending on which hybrid flooring you are going with, it would be best to check with the manufacturer to determine whether it is suitable for wet-area flooring. Although hybrid flooring is typically waterproof, it might not be suitable for flooring in a wet area. If it was one of our hybrid floorings and you could link me to it, I'd be happy to contact the supplier so you can confirm.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

below is the flooring I am using, the shower is an enclosed shower system, and I am looking at putting the hybrid flooring in the rest of the room,
the James hardie flooring has already been installed correctly.
Hi @NellB,
Fantastic, that product is perfectly suited for bathroom applications. Just ensure that waterproofing is done correctly over the Secura and you'll be good to go and lay your flooring.
