How to cover tiled splashback ends cleanly?

The tradie installed the Kit Kat splashback in the laundry. Accordingly to the builder, they can’t put a trim to close off the top cleanly as it’s too thick (apparently we needed plasterboard cos wall wasn’t straight).

What options do I have? Builder mentioned he’d grout it 45 degrees upwards and then paint over it. I can’t find any pictures or information online so I can’t tell if the finish would be good. Any ideas?

Re: how to cover splashback ends cleanly?

Hello @renie

I suggest looking at the QEP 12.5mm x 2.5m Silver Afterfit Tile Trim, it comes in various sizes and will cover the top of the tile and plasterboard neatly. There is also the QEP 2.5m x 14mm White Angle Tile Trim which can be installed in an upright position. This will provide a clean finish to the edge of your tile and is easy enough to install. I suggest visiting your local store and having a look at these trims to get a better idea of what they look like and if they will suit your purposes.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.
