I installed a new basin tap and once I finished and turned on the water the water just goes out and I can not turn off with the new tap. Whats wrong with my installation?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @mr_ram. We trust you'll get plenty of helpful advice and project inspiration from our wonderful members.
For any plumbing issues, we would always recommend for safety and compliance that you engage a registered plumber. But if you would like to share some photos of your tap so members can see what you are working with, the community might be able to share their advice on how the plumber would go about the repair.
Many thanks,
Jason
Hi @mr_ram
It sounds like the set you purchased is not compatible with your old tap base. I suggest turning off your mains water supply and taking a photo of your old and new tap spindles side by side so we can compare them and find out why it's not working properly. Once we see them, we'll have a better idea of why it's not working. We can then make recommendations on how to remedy the situation.
If you feel that it is too complicated, I suggest engaging the services of a licensed plumber to fix your taps for you.
If you need further assistance, please let me know.
Eric
