Hi
i am planning on putting a new shower door frame to the existing shower. Currently we are using shower curtains so water does not come out. Can anyone give me suggestions on which product to buy and what to use?
Hi @dahuynh
The best fit for your shower looks like
Frameless shower door that self supports from the wall
How ever the total door and panel length is 865 mm from the wall how long is your space from the wall to outer edge of the hob? Consider
There maybe other models that suit your dimentions better?
There will be a gap at the end as the wall panel is short as you know. You might want a custom shower panel later in an off the shelf one wont fit.
Normally I would recommend a new door and side panel complete package but your hob is not avaliable all the way around into the shower zone.
Hi @dahuynh,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.
@Jewelleryrescue has already pointed you towards the right type of product, however your circumstance is a bit more complex.
As the bath runs in line with the hob, creating a step that the glass would need to account for, it is unlikely there will be a perfect off-the-shelf solution. If you can provide the dimensions of the hob, in the locations I've marked below, I can have a look for you.
If there is not an off-the-shelf product like I suspect, I'd suggest speaking with the Special Orders team at your local Bunnings. Our supplier Rick McLean's Designer Bathware can supply a variety of custom shower screens, however, yours is complex due to the step-up at the bathtub. I can't say for certain that they can custom make a shower screen for your specific circumstance, but it is worth exploring this option.
Unfortunately, I think it's fairly likely you will have to contact a glazier for assistance installing a custom shower screen.
Let me know if you have any further questions, I'm happy to offer further guidance if required.
