which is the hot water valve/tap under the laundry sink for connecting washing machine. One valve/tap is below the other, one has a blue dot and the other nothing

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your laundry taps.

It's very likely that the one with the blue dot is the cold tap and the one below is the hot tap. One way you can test it is by putting a bucket under the taps and slowly turning on the hot tap or the tap with no tag on it. It should get hot fairly quickly and once you feel the temperature then you'll know which hose goes onto it.

Another method is to connect the hot hose to the hot tap but point the other end to the laundry tub. Turn the hot tap on to make sure hot water comes out. Once the temperature is confirmed turn the tap off and connect the hot tap to the hot inlet of your washing machine.
