Hi all,
Recently installed a new washing machine and the drain hose is currently just hanging in the sink.
I've identified a usable pipe thing under the sink for the drain hose, but they're about the same external diameter (27mm), what should I use to connect these?
Cheers!

Is that a rubber fitting on the hose, @barydos? If so, you should be able to push it over the spigot since it's the same size. Dipping the rubber in warm to hot water for a minute can soften it up a little. Also, you could try a spritz of WD40 lubricant or even cooking oil on the spigot to assist in getting the fitting on.
Remember that you need to drill out the spigot to open it before attaching the hose, and you'll need a hose clamp to hold the fitting in position.
If that fitting on the end of the hose is rigid, it's likely designed to connect to a proprietary outlet. Swapping it out for a standard hose with flexible connectors would be the most convenient option.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Ah yes you're right it is rubber actually. And that was super useful info regarding the spigot needing a hole.
Anyway after thinking about it, I realised I can just use another existing entry for the time being, until I eventually do a proper renovation in the future for this laundry (new bench top + sink insert etc)
Thanks again as always
