Outdoor shower tapwear

Hi everyone. We're thinking about installing an outdoor shower to complement the swimming pool and would love some recommendations on tapwear that will be able to cope with the elements. We're not near the sea so it's not a super-harsh environment like a beach house but we assume that we can't use an indoor shower head and taps.

I'm interested sin any tips/suggestions on this too. Early phase of planning but thinking a shower by the pool would be great.

We've been asking around a bit and some people say that just indoor equipment will be fine, while others recommend marine grade. 

As ours is going on a fairly plain wall we're thinking about making a feature of it. So rather than hiding the plumbing have something with a pole like this:

Inspired by the DIY job below, am now a bit tempted to go for an industrial look by just using a copper riser and perhaps some old second hand taps and showerhead.
