Hi there have had this leaking towel rail for quite some time and needing advice. Don’t have it running and not sure what the root cause of it not working in the first place. The towel rail has continued to drip over time. Wondering what course of action is best to take next. Is this something I could remove myself and then be able to reinstall a new one or does it require a professional? If so would it be a sparky or a plumber I would need? My main concern is that it’s not a wall plugged towel rail and it has a cable going into the wall. I think it’s plumbed in which adds more variables. Any advice is appreciated.

Many thanks.

Re: Leaking towel rail

Hello @jimmydiy

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your towel rail.

I highly recommend not turning on your towel rail under any circumstances as there is the possibility of getting electrocuted. I suggest engaging the services of an electrician to properly disconnect the cable to your towel rail. I then propose calling in the plumber to find out where the leak is coming from and why it is passing through your towel rail. I don't recommend doing this as a D.I.Y project.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
