Hi,
I would like to update this laundry. I'll paint the brown rafters white and thought about stick down vinyl floor over top existing tiles. I'll remove that old wall heater.
I have a top load washing machine.
Need as much storage as possible.
Ceiling height varies.
Hi @Cider,
We look forward to seeing how you can transform your laundry (with a little help from the Bunnings Workshop community).
Have you seen the helpful guide How to plan a laundry renovation by @Adam_W?
It would be good if you could let us know your budget and what your goals are for the renovation so members can provide more specific and helpful advice.
Many thanks,
Jason
Thanks Jason, I have viewed those links, I like the idea of replacing door with barn style slide door.
I wonder if the room is wide enough for cabinets on all walls?
I need tall cupboards along walls or maybe a tall corner unit at end of room but not sure if ceiling is high enough.
Hi @Cider,
We have the Bedford 2000 x 600 x 600mm White 2 Door High Moisture Resistant Split Cabinet, which is two metres high and will fit. You could place shelves on all walls, though obviously, you can't have them where the door opens, and the pegboard is currently located. You might like to play around with the Kaboodle planner and choose a layout that you want for your space.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
Hello @Cider
Here is the sketch for your laundry. My colleague @MitchellMc's recommendation of using the Bedford 2000 x 600 x 600mm White 2 Door High Moisture Resistant Split Cabinet can be done on the condition that it fits between the brown rafters. If not you could use a Kaboodle 450mm Kitchen Pantry. It has a maximum height of 2055mm. Your other option is to have a handyman build you a custom-sized pantry. Please have a look at the drawing and tell me what you think. If you wish to see it in another configuration please let me know.

This looks great! I'm excited to start.
I love the wall tiles too tho I'll prob go a little lighter shade floor n bench. Is it best to have same/similar floor n bench?
After I have cleaned n painted, if I take this to my local Bunnings, will they help get the right size cupboards?
Hello @Cider
I'm glad you liked the layout for your laundry. Your flooring and benchtop finishes are just recommendations. There are many colours to choose from. You can take this to your local bunnings along with your room and ceiling measurements and they will be able to quote this drawing for you. Make sure to explain to the In-Store Kitchen specialist that the far end of your laundry has a very low ceiling height.
Please remember that the timber wall cabinets have to be custom-built. You can ask the kitchen specialist for alternatives. But if you have the tools and D.I.Y. skills to build it, I recommend giving it a go. Please remember to bring the measurements of your washing machine as well.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Good to have a plan for inspiration but I have made lots of compromises along the way. In the end I completed this reno by myself and didn't spend a lot of money.
I could always do more but very happy with the results. Extra storage means everything has a place and is easy to find.
Biggest change to my original idea was after researching possibilities I did not lay a new flooring.
Hello @Cider
Thank you so much for the laundry update. A bit of re-organization and new cabinets have certainly made a difference. It looks much more user friendly and the colour change has made it look very modern. If you have any other projects ongoing, please let us know.
Again, thank you for sharing your laundry revamp with us.
