I've been planning to renovate my bathroom, and one of the key upgrades I want is a frameless shower screen. I love the sleek, modern look, and it would really open up the space. However, with autumn here, I'm unsure if it's the right time to go ahead with the installation. The cooler weather and increased humidity make me wonder if there could be issues with sealing or curing times. Would installation be quicker and smoother now, or should I wait until a different season? I need to decide soon, so is autumn a good time to install a frameless shower screen?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @rudeywebber. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about installing shower screens.
Autumn is actually a great time to install a frameless shower screen. The mild temperatures in Australia and New Zealand mean that sealants will cure effectively without issues. Even in winter, while cooler weather might slightly extend curing times, it generally doesn’t cause significant delays. Frameless shower screens are installed year-round without issue, so there’s no need to wait for a different season. If you’re ready to proceed with your bathroom renovation, autumn is as good a time as any to go ahead with the installation.
