How to unstick a toilet seat bolt?
I'm hoping to replace a toilet seat after the bolt on one side broke. The nut on the other side is spinning and won't come loose. I'm struggling to figure out if there's a way to access the bolt from the top like on some American videos. Any help appreciated.

Re: How to unstick a toilet seat bolt
Hi @pepsp,
Sometimes, the top cover will pop up, so try gently levering it up. Otherwise, there's no easy way to access from the top, unless you start cutting away the plastic shroud.
Can you tell if it's the whole bolt is turning, the metal nut is spinning on the bolt which is fixed, or the plastic outer handle spinning on the nut? If it's the plastic portion spinning on the nut, then you might be able to break/cut the plastic away to gain access to the nut and put a tool on it to turn.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Re: How to unstick a toilet seat bolt
An update on my toilet seat bolt: turns out the fasteners were concealed under the back of the toilet seat cover. There were two little toggles which, when moved to the centre, allowed the seat to slide off, revealing the bolts.
After I realised this I could easily fix it with a Kinetic toilet seat fixing kit. Far better than getting a whole new seat because of one broken bolt!!
