What are my options or what is the Australian Standard for fixing tiles to concrete masonry walls in a wet area ?
I'm told "direct stick" to masonry in a wet area to not allowed.
Thankyou
Hello @billybob01
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about wall tiling.
The National Construction Code NCC for wet area waterproofing is quite extensive. Generally speaking, your shower area and your bathroom must be waterproofed in accordance with the NCC rules.
However, I also recommend checking your local council's rules and regulations regarding waterproofing. A trained and certified water proofing specialist will be required to apply the water proofing in your bathroom as this has to be inspected and signed off.
Once your walls and floor have been waterproofed and signed off you can then begin tiling the bathroom.
