I've been experiencing an issue with my Caroma Dual Flush toilet recently where water is spraying up on the tank lid and leaking down the side of my toilet when I flush it. After some googling I came to the conclusion that it was an issue with the fill valve washer.
I purchased a replacement washer (I believe it was this one https://www.bunnings.com.au/kinetic-40mm-caroma-no-2-ballcock-washer_p4920276) which has a diameter very slightly less then the worn one however I assumed this was due to the old one having stretched out over years of use.
I replaced the washer and the spraying issue stopped but a new issue presented itself. The tank would never stop filling. At the time I switched back to the old washer and just flipped it upside down which fixed the issue temporarily however today the tank spraying issue has resurfaced and i'd like to find a permanent solution.
Any advice would be much appreciated

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @rouge2020. It's great to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about replacing a toilet washer.
Did you replace the smaller black circular washer as well, or did it perhaps fall out when replacing the red washer? I believe the black washer stops the inlet water once the float valve engages. Alternatively, did you change the level of the float valve? Try adjusting it so it shuts off earlier.
As far as I'm aware, that is the correct washer for your inlet valve. In cases where it's hard to determine what is leaking, it can be best to just replace the whole inlet valve with a Fluidmaster Bottom Entry Toilet Inlet Valve.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Ah! It was the float valve level that fixed it! I didn't replace the black circular washer, perhaps that would've helped too but the original one was so wedged in there and i've since lost the replacement one.
Thanks a lot for your assistance Mitchell
