Hi All,
Would Bunnings have the same Aerator as per the pictures below to replace the old one?
It's from this kind of spout
It would be much appreciated if you can guide me the right direction to what kind of Aerator I will need to replace the old one. The mesh and rubber seal all fell apart by itself when using the tap.
Thank you
Hello @Jay_11
I suggest having a look at the FIX-A-TAP WELS 5 Star 6L/min 13mm 1/2" Male Swivel Aerator. It's a generic aerator often used for both basin and kitchen taps. It might not be the same shape as your old basin aerator, but it provides the same function. Another type of aerator is the EnduraSeal WELS 6 Star 4.5L/min 21mm Chrome Male Multi-Function Aerator often used in kitchen taps, it can also be used for basin taps on the condition that there is enough space between the tap and the bottom of the basin.
My best advice is to make sure that the old O ring in the tap is removed and the new O ring put in its place.
If you have any other question we can help with, please let us know.

Thanks, Eric. Very useful advice.
The first link I also found myself online but couldn't find it in my local Bunnings store. I may have to go to the next nearby Bunnings store.
As for the second link, there is enough distance between two bottom of the sink and the spout but the Aerator from the first link looks best suited to what I am after.
In regards to the O ring, are you saying this is more for the Aerator from the second link or just in general? I haven't changed an O ring before but I am sure I will figure it out given I replaced all the taps in the bathroom and shower myself.
Thanks again for your help.
Hello @Jay_11
When you remove the old aerator from the basin mixer if you reach inside the spout, you might find the old flat O ring stuck in there. This flat old O ring inside the spout has to be replaced with the new one that comes with aerator kit. Putting two O rings is not recommended as it will prevent the aerator from sitting properly on the spout.
If you need further assistance, please let me know.
Eric
Ok thanks, Eric.
I believe the O ring was stuck to the Aerator when I unscrewed it. What prompted me to remove the old Aerator was due to two meshes fell out on their own. When I removed the old Aerator I saw the black O ring inside the old Aerator and removed it.
I would have thought buying a new Aerator in a package would include the O ring. If it doesn't come with it I will look for one when I am in Bunnings the next time around.
Thanks so much again for your help.
