Hi, I was able to use the L key to take the grub screw behind the handle out after a bit of struggle. But even after that the handle did not come off. I thought once the grub screw is out, the handle should just slide out.
Can you please help. Also, what would be the right replacement cartridge for this.
Thank you.
Regards,
Waqas.
Hello @wmrajput
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's marvellous to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your basin tapware.
It sometimes happens that the handle will seize or get stuck on the spindle post of the cartridge, despite the grub screw being totally removed. I suggest moving the handle left to right, forwards and backwards with your efforts focused on removing it upwards.
Another possible reason is that there might be calcium deposits on the handle that has fused the handle to the cartridge post. I still suggest doing the same action, it may take some time, but eventually the handle will work itself loose.
Please keep us updated with your progress, we look forward to seeing your basin tap repaired.

It wouldn't budge. I spent full 20 minutes moving it. Even sprayed it with wd 40. Wouldn't move at all...
Yaay,
Finally came off.
Hi Eric,
Now that the handle is off, can you please look at the cartridge picture attached and suggest the replacement cartridge.
Much thanks.

Hello @wmrajput
That's fantastic news! I'm glad you got the basin handle off. I'm sorry but there are a number of cartridges available at the store, and visually sighting them for compatibility through the computer is not recommended.
I suggest bringing the cartridge to the store and going to the plumbing department. I then recommend speaking to the plumbing specialist and showing them your cartridge, they will then try to match it with the generic sets available at the store.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Roger that Eric.
Will head to the store in the morning.
