How to repair a twin shower system?

Hi Brain Trust,

    

This is a twin shower system. How do you repair the mixer? It currently feels somewhat loose and is unable to divert water from the overhead shower to the rail shower.

Thank you for your question.

Are you aware of the make and model of the shower mixer?

My assumption is that the white plastic spacer has worn down over time and will likely require replacing. You may be able to stick the handle back in place with silicone such as Parfix 300g Clear All Purpose Silicone, but this would only be a "band-aid" repair.

If you can advise what the make of the shower mixer/rail is, I can make some enquiries and check out their technical drawings to see if it is possible to order a spare part.
