How to remove a pop-up plug in basin?
Hello @Denandkay
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your plug and waste.
Just a friendly reminder that any plumbing work must be carried out by a licensed plumber for safety and compliance.
If you are planning on replacing the centre post, you simply hold on to the center cover cap and twist it anti clockwise. This will allow you to access the plug and waste mechanism. The replacement part is called the Kinetic Pop-Up Waste Mechanism. But if you are replacing the entire set, I suggest looking at the Kinetic 40mm Chrome Pop Up Basin Waste.
The pop-up waste is held in place with a brass locking ring which needs to be removed in order to replace the entire set. If you've not done anything like this before, I suggest engaging the services of a licensed plumber.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
