The Bunnings Workshop community can help with your home improvement projects.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @traceynicolas. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about refreshing your bathroom.
I'd encourage you to start by reading through this helpful guide on How to plan a bathroom renovation.
Refreshing a bathroom on a very low budget is definitely possible, but the scope of what can be done will largely depend on how much you're able to spend. The best place to start is by writing a list of everything you dislike about the current space, as well as the key elements you want to keep or achieve with the refresh. This will help you prioritise changes and focus on the areas that will have the most impact without overspending.
For example, if you dislike the colour of the floor tiles but don't have the budget to replace them, you could consider painting them with a specialised tile paint. This can dramatically change the look of the bathroom at a fraction of the cost of new tiles.
From the images, the current layout looks practical, so leaving things like the bath and shower in place will help you save on plumbing costs. However, the vanity and mirror cabinet do date the space quite a bit. Replacing these with modern, budget-friendly options can provide an immediate visual improvement without needing a full renovation.
If you could share a bit more about your budget and what your must-haves are, our members would be able to offer more tailored suggestions.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
