How to paint over waterproofing?
Hi! I have an area that is waterproofed with this product. But we’ve decided to paint one part already waterproofed instead of tiling (the rest staying tiled)
our problem is the waterproofing is very textured. How best can we smooth it out to get a nice paint finish?
Thanks!

Re: How to paint over waterproofing?
Hi @Tcaitlin,
Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
Unfortunately, having spoken to the technical team at Crommelin, I've confirmed there is no way to smooth a shower membrane like this that can be done while maintaining the waterproof nature of the membrane.
If the area doesn't need to be waterproof, you can very carefully cut it and peel the membrane away from the section that is to remain, but there is potential that it may damage the surface beneath.
Once removed and any damage is rectified, you can paint the wall as normal.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Jacob
