How to instal la Mondella Cadenza swivel tap?

Is there a trick to getting the big plastic fixing nut onto the hoses? I have moved a Mondella Cadenza swivel tap from one sink to any other and for the life of me, can not get the two hoses back through the fixing nut. I’ve tried one at a time, tried in the side. There must be a trick to this without having to undo the hoses from the top of the tap ?

Hi @ozziemum,

Sorry to see you're having trouble with your tap. Let me tag a few helpful Workshop members with plumbing experience, such as @Santullo@tom_builds and @JDE.

Resident Bunnings D.I.Y. experts Eric and Mitch will also be happy to help when they are back on the site tomorrow. Apologies for the wait.

Let me extend a very warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. Feel free to post anytime you need a hand or have a project to share.

Re: How to instal la Mondella Cadenza swivel tap?

Hi @ozziemum,

Were you able to get the fixing nut off the hoses in the first place but now can't get the hoses back through? If so, you'd assume it was possible, but likely a tight fit. The easiest option is to undo one hose from the tap assembly. They are typically not more than just finger-tight into the base of the tap. You might need a spanner to suit their nut or a pair of pliers. By removing one hose, you'll be able to easily slip the nut on to the other hose, then feed the loose hose up through it and re-attach to the tap.

Initially when installing the tap, you'd thread the fixing nut, fixing washer and fixing rubber onto the two hoses and then connect them to the tap assembly.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mitchell
