Hi guys,
I have a wobbly toilet that’s not secure to the floor tiles.
Please help.
TIA
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Alex5. It's sensational to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing a wobbly toilet.
A wobbly toilet pan can occur if it has separated from the masonry base beneath it. This can happen if the toilet was not secured properly when originally installed or if the base has shifted over time. To fix this, the toilet will need to be removed so that the base can be checked. The issue is often due to the toilet not being properly anchored to the concrete or flooring beneath it.
The plumber will need to reset the toilet, ensuring that it is securely fastened to the masonry or floor. This might involve using anchor bolts to secure it firmly. This type of repair requires precision to ensure the toilet is securely seated on the base to prevent future movement.
Since this is a plumbing and installation issue, it's best to have a licensed plumber assess and repair it. They’ll ensure everything is properly aligned and secured to avoid any further problems.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
