How to fix water leak under bathroom sink?

Just moved into a rented apartment and find out leakage under the bathroom sink. It was previously stucked with paper to prevent leakage. I cleaned it up and wrapped with waterproof tape, but water still leaking from the tip of that nail labeled in the red circle. May I ask if there is any way to seal/ fix this as a temprary workaround? Since I'm no plumper to investigate inside the covered part in the sink (built-in in the wall). Any advise would be much appreciated. Thank you so much in advance!df631904b2f5a6d617571a833bdcdeae.JPG9a4d6ff5a58f8c2699c371b7bde30b29.jpg

Re: Water leakage under bathroom sink

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @yangelvinshi. It's sensational to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about fixing a leaking tap.

The fitting from which the water is dripping is likely part of the clamping system. The leak is more likely coming from the piped or tap body, and that's just where it's dripping. Further investigation and disassembly would be required to work out what parts need replacing. There are no easy-fix ways I am aware of to stop the leak.

If you're renting the apartment, I'd suggest you flag the issue with the property manager, as you certainly wouldn't want the leaking water to damage their property.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
