Permanent solution on 24 year old peeling eastern n western facing wooden doors that receives full sun n rain.
Hi @Fragilebones,
It sounds like you need to do some preparation work to remove the peeling paint. You can either start with a paint scraper, an electric sander, a paint stripper, or various combinations. If you can post some pictures of the doors, I can advise further on the best method and approach.
As for the paint, I'd recommend you use a suitable primer and coat the door with at least two coats of premium paint that is designed to withstand harsh conditions, such as Dulux Weathershield. Dulux guarantees that as long as Weathershield is applied in accordance with instructions for use, it will not peel, flake or blister for as long as you live in your home.
