We have a leak from the cistern to the bowl, and not sure how to fix - whether we can fix without taking the cistern off the wall . The leak is coming from the 'pink' screw looking thing, in behind - between the cistern and the pink screw.
Hi @tlangas,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.
It sounds like you will be able to fix the leak by replacing the seating washer. If you know the model of the cistern and can let me know, I should be able to find you a suitable replacement.
You'll want to start by turning off the supply of water to the cistern. Once the water supply has been switched off, flush the toilet to drain as much water from the cistern as possible. You can then use a sponge to soak up any remaining water and remove it from the cistern.
You will then need to remove and replace the seating washer with a suitable alternative.
If you can take a photo of the inner workings of the cistern, I should be able to offer guidance on how to replace the seating washer.
I look forward to assisting further.
Jacob
