Hi Experts,
Metal frame on Side glass shower has came out, and when I'm trying to press to attach it back, it doesn't and actually coming out more.
It got a screw on top of the metal frame to hold-on and there's one at the bottom.
Any DIY tips on how to tackle this situation and attached it back, so it doesn't hang.
Pictures attached for more details
Thank you so much in advance for advice.
Regards
Gaurav
Hello @almerboyin
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks or sharing your question about your glass shower's metal frame.
In these situations, I strongly advise engaging the services of an aluminium specialist, specifically those who build custom shower stalls. Any extreme force applied to your glass could result in the glass shattering and causing injury.
Generally speaking, inside the aluminium channel is a rubber sleave. This rubber sleave goes over the glass panel first and then aluminium channel is pushed onto the rubber sleave. The bottom of the aluminium rail is then screwed back on.
It is the type of repair that requires knowledge and experience, I don't recommend doing it as a D.I.Y. repair. In the meantime, I suggest putting tape on the aluminium channel to prevent it from sticking out.
