We are living on the second floor. After using our bathrooms, we notice that water is leaking to other room carpet and lower unit walls. What are the potential problems and how do I fix it?
Hi @nddi,
Given that other units are being affected, I'd highly suggest you enlist the services of a plumber to assess the issue and have it fixed immediately. There's not really time to waste trying to diagnose and come up with a D.I.Y. solution, as water leakage into other apartments could lead to tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage in a very short time.
It could be any number of things causing the leaks. Including pipework, a shower, the toilet etc. Without any visual clues, it's hard to diagnose the exact issue. My thoughts are you should call around plumbers today and have them come out as soon as possible.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
