Hi,
One day I found a hole that was made whilst using skincare serum and I cannot recall how it happened. I want to fix it but all I can look up is how to fix chipped basins. This one is a small hole and can see the inside the vanity, I stopped using it otherwise water will leak underneath
Sorry the image is not clear but you can see what I am talking about. Can someone tell me the cheapest way to fix this?
Hello @Sarah549
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about repairing the hole in your basin.
The repair techniques are very similar to repairing chips on a ceramic basin. I suggest using PC-11 56g White Epoxy Paste, it's best to mix only what you need to cover the hole plus a little bit extra. When the putty is fully mixed in your hand place it right over the hole and gently push down, but don't press it all the way in. Your goal is to create a small hill over the damaged area. Gently feather the surface until it is very close to the surface of the basin.
You can lightly sand the surface when the putty cures if you wish to go lower just be aware that sanding too much will crack the putty. Please note that the putty will dry off white and will not match the finish of your basin. If you wish to touch up the surface, I recommend using the Rust-Oleum Tub And Tile Touch Up Kit.
If you need further assistance, please let me know.
