Hi,
I've just received a new heat pump dryer, but when trying to connect to the under sink waste pipe, they only provided a connector for a screw spigot, not a barbed one. As you can see it nicely fits in the hole, but clearly won't stay there, so need a way of connecting the 2 together.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @garrybleakley. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about connecting a dryer.
You might like to have a read through this recent discussion: How to connect heat pump dryer drain hose? I go over possible solutions and the reason why this is not a straight connection.
I'm currently discussing with one of our suppliers whether there are any other recommended attachment methods.
Due to the low pressure and very low output, it appears that most people are using silicone to hold the pipe in place. However, a mechanical connection would always be better.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
