When this was first replaced the pressure was great and it’s gone bad now, I’ve wanted a better shower head & bath tap set for a while but I want a double one with the detachable head and overhead, I just don’t know what will fit.
I’ll insert some pictures of the ones I like below what I currently have.
Can I buy a shower head like this for my bathroom without having to change any plumping ? If not what are my options.
Thanks 😫☺️
Hi @juicyylucyy,
Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
Unfortunately, none of the shower heads you've pictured would be a straightforward swap over as the water supply, is not in line with the rail. In dual-head shower rails, there is a diverter inside the rail which either sends water up or down, allowing for the use of two different heads. This means your supply needs to be in line with the rail, meaning the mounting points would need to move if you were to use the same water supply point.
This is going to be something you'll require the assistance of a plumber for as the supply will need to be moved and other adjustments likely made.
Using a plumber will also mean you can select the exact shower head you want, rather than picking something based on what is already there.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

Super helpful, would it cost more than $1000 to have the shower head installed and changed over to mixers ? Just the plumbing my bf can do the tiling we’re changing all the tiles anyway
I’m happy to keep the water supply for the shower where it is up the top in the middle moving the rail doesn’t bother me at all. It’s actually in an annoying spot anyway.
I like the position of where the water is coming out at the moment anyway because I want the overhead shower to be high up anyway.
Hi @juicyylucyy,
It's hard to say how much it would cost to have a plumber install the shower head for you.
The only way to know for sure is to get in touch with a plumber to get a quote.
You might like to use a service such as HiPages or True Local to find a plumber that operates in your area.
