Hello to the community, I was wondering if anyone has any secrets on fixing scratches in a white bath on an acrylic/fibreglass bath.
We have numerous scratches and would like to make it look nicer.
Kind regards Rob 👍

Hi @gippslandhome (Rob) - 2 thoughts.
1. Are they shallow enough to buff out? Meaning sand with finer and finer sandpaper, then cutting compound then polish? Similar to cutting and compounding car paint.
2. It’s possible to tint fibreglass resin with up to 5% paint tint - if the scratches are deep enough, you could prepare for filling, then fill, followed by fine sanding etc. I had a customer put me onto this for fixing chips etc., in vanities and baths. You can buy a small container of paint tint from Bunnings - use the Dulux/British tint.
Hope this helps, cheers Deb
Thanks @Mathy
That's been really helpful Deb.
I might just try a simple wet and dry rub back, and then a cut and polish all over followed by a Polish.
Thank you for putting me onto the idea.
Kind regards Rob 👍
