Hi
Is it possiblevl to cut through a thermowrapped kaboodle panel? I need to cut holes in a panel and also through the cabinet for plumbing. I dont know what will happen to the finish..im not even sure how its stuck on to the mdf...is it glued on? Vacuum sealed? Will.i all just fall off if i breach it?
Thanks
Helen
Hi Helen,
I've double-checked with Kaboodle, and you can cut holes in both the laminate-covered chipboard carcass and the thermowrapped panels. Always mask and then cut from the front side, as the rear side typically sustains any damage if that is to occur. All cut sections need to be sealed with PVA glue to prevent water ingress. Kaboodle has assured me that it's not a case of if it is breached, the wrapping will shrink back. However, it's best to try to place cuts in areas that are concealed from view.
Remember your PPE, including safety glasses, a face mask and hearing protection.
